I have been fascinated with computers since I can remember. During my childhood I used to read all the tech magazines I could get my hands on. I had my first computer at the impressionable age of 9 - a Romanian mod of the classic Sinclair ZX Spectrum. That is when I got a taste of my first programming language - BASIC - although I have to admit that I used the machine mostly for games.

I got my first PC when I was 13 years old - a high tech 386 DX with 4 MB of RAM and a 210 MB hard drive... one of the top-range PCs on the market in those days. Since computer books were scarce and magazines did not satisfy my thirst for information, I enrolled in classes offered by the Computer Science Training Center. And that was the beginning of my continuos advancement in the field.

I went to high school at the National College of Computer Science in Bucharest and that is where I received my first programming certification.. I continued to study computer science at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest in the School of Engineering Science in Foreign Languages. I graduated in 2004 with a GPA of 3.9/4.0 and an Electrical Engineering Degree with specialization in Computer Science.

During my tenure in the IT field I have discovered many areas that I find engaging. But the ones that pique my interest the most - web development, programming, database design and networking - are those in which I wish to focus in my career. I have worked in various capacities on part-time and project-oriented bases for Romanian and international companies.

At the moment I'm working for FlyCell, a mobile content distribution company.
